Introduction

Twenty-six blocks in south Minneapolis, 26 streets in alphabetical order from Aldrich Avenue to Zenith Avenue. This is the first of seven such alphabetical groupings of street names in the west metro area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.

The best place to see this sequence of streets is to head north out of the I-35W and MN-62 Crosstown Commons on Lyndale Avenue. Turn left on any of the streets between 56th Street and 49th Street. No street in this area crosses all 26 of the ABC streets due to parks and the Minnehaha Parkway. 49th Street crosses all but Humbolt Ave, and 50th Street, a main thru street, misses only Humbolt Ave and Irving Ave.
