The I-90 Mississippi River crossing at La Crosse is nearly 3 miles across. The crossing consists of long causeways, the main channel Dresbach Bridge, the Black River Channel Bridges, the French Slough Bridges, and these two bridges over Round Lake. Round Lake was once a Mississippi River slough, but the north end of the slough was blocked when the Lock & Dam was built just upstream of this crossing.

The upper two photos are crossing the eastbound bridge, while the lower two photos show the westbound crossing. There is no legal way to stop to get side or profile photos of these bridges. The only alternative would be by boat from the water level.
