Mississippi River Highway Crossing Near Cass Lake, MN
This is the second of two Mississippi River crossings made by CSAH-8, and
the second of three nearly identical prestressed concrete girder bridges.
This bridge, five miles down stream from the western crossing of the river,
differs from the upstream copy in only two major details. The bridge is 84
feet longer, and as a result, there are more support pilings under the
structure. This bridge replaced a 1923 truss span.
