Despite being rated in good condition, the bridge still looks a bit rickety with the timber piers and such thin construction. Then again, this road does not get that much traffic, so it doesn't need to be a superhighway. The railings, however, are of a design that is no longer acceptable.
The photo above is a view of the bridge from the south bank of the channel located just west of the structure. The diversion channel was dug from flat land. The dirt removed from the channel was piled up on each side, adding to the depth of the channel. The photo below is the bridge plate.
