B-17

This is the B-17 Nine-O-Nine owned by the Collings Foundation. The Collings Foundation tours this aircraft extensively each year giving demonstrations and selling rides. It tours with a B-24, the nose turret of which is on the far left side of this photo. The original Nine-O-Nine had a distinguished war record, but this B-17 served after WWII, so the paint job is strictly to honor the WWII bomber crews.
