XF-85 Goblin
US Air Force Museum
Dayton, OH

XF-85

XF-85 Goblin on display at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. This Goblin was the first model built, but was second to fly. It is displayed in its natural metal finish. This is much closer to its markings from its operational years than the example at the SAC Museum, which is painted in a standard SAC paint job to protect the bird from the Nebraska weather. The Goblin is displayed with its skyhook deployed.
