P-61A Black Widow
Beijing Aeronautics Institute
Beijing, China

P-61

P-61A Black Widow on display at the Beijing Aeronautics Institute in Beijing, China. The Black Widow is located outdoors, between what appears to be a WWII era P-47 Thunderbolt and a some kind of early cruise missile (which has been pointed out to me as most likely being an AQM-34 Firebee, and early combat drone used in the Vietnam theater).

Normally, I only use my own photography on my web site. In this case, however, it may be many years before I get a chance to visit China, so I am using a photo that was kindly offered by Jouni Laukkanen from his 1987 trip to China.
