P-61

P-61C Black Widow on display at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. This aircraft is located in the new Museum Annex at Dullas Airport, also known as the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. The aircraft is in more or less the same condition as it was when it was retired to the museum, other than having its engines pickled. The photo below was taken by Ralph Pettersen, who visited the museum in June of 2007. The Black Widow was not yet moved into the WWII aircraft display.
