I had a chance to fly in one of the “Tora, Tora, Tora” squadron planes, the Nakajima ‘Kate’. This is a replica of the Kate, built from a North American T-6 ‘Texan’ trainer plane. It was built for the movie Tora, Tora, Tora, and later appeared in the movie Midway. This photo was taken over downtown St. Paul. The Minnesota state capital is in the left center of the photo, while downtown Minneapolis is in the distance in the center of the photo on the horizon. The freeway just under the meatball on the wing is I-35E, with I-94 just to the left of the photo, and MN-36 just off the right edge of the photo.
