B-47B Stratojet
US Air Force Flight Test Center Museum
Rosamond, CA

B-47

B-47 Stratojet sitting in the Mojave desert as a target on the bombing range at Edwards Air Force Base near Rosamond, California. There are a number of such aircraft sitting on the bombing range and photo range at Edwards. The aircraft are under the control of the US Air Force Flight Test Museum. Since 9/11, Edwards AFB is a closed base, and it is somewhat difficult to visit either the museum or the historic aircraft.
