SR-71 Blackbird
NASA Dryden Flight Research Center
Rosamond, CA

SR-71

SR-71 on loan to NASA. 844 is the NASA tail number for the aircraft serial numbered 61-7980. NASA Dryden is located on the east end of the main base at Edwards AFB. While Edwards is rather secure, public tours of the NASA area are available by calling the NASA public affairs office and getting your name on the tour list 24 hours in advance. 844 flew the final SR-71 flight in late October, 1999.

NASA 844 has since been put on static display at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB.
