The YF-12A is the full scale prototype of a proposed fighter version of the Blackbird. One visual difference is the leading edge of the chines are clipped near the nose as compared to the SR-71. The US Air Force Museum is located on the grounds of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. There are two Blackbirds in the museum, the YF-12A is located in the museum annex buildings.
