| Introduction | Many cities use a naming scheme for city streets in order to make the street arrangement easier to remember. Minneapolis uses a number of such schemes, such as names of trees, famous generals, US states, and US Presidents. One scheme that interests me is the series of streets in the west metro area of Minneapolis where the streets are named in alphabetical order. And there is not just one or even two rotations of using each of the 26 letters of the alphabet, but rather, an astounding 7 full sequences of all 26 letters running from Lyndale Ave to Lake Minnetonka. |
