B-24J Louisiana Belle II
8th Air Force Museum
Bossier City, LA

B-24

B-24J on display at the 8th Air Force Museum on the grounds of Barksdale Air Force Base. Barksdale is located in Bossier City, LA, which is an eastern suburb of Shreveport. Barksdale was a major training base for Liberators in WWII, and has hosted bomber units including a large group of B-52s. The museum has remained open to the general public post-9/11 despite its on-base location.

Note—this aircraft was once painted as the Laden Maiden.
