State highway MN-41 bridge crossing the Minnesota River on the south
side of Chaska, Minnesota. As of August, 2006, this bridge no longer
exists. 2-lanes of a new 4-lane bridge was built adjacent to and
east of this structure. This bridge was then removed to allow the remaining
2 lanes of the new bridge to be built. This bridge was still serviceable,
but highway traffic has grown beyond what this bridge could handle.
There is a river overflow channel that flows about a mile south of
this main channel crossing. A bridge across that channel was replaced
in 1998, and was upgraded to be 4 lanes wide in anticipation of the
new main channel crossing. Statistics for that bridge are:
