This bridge is the upriver of the two Hwy 3/Hwy 18 bridges. It runs north and south, and it is accessed from US Highway 2 by following Itasca County Highway 18 straight south. The distinguishing feature is the railing, which is the modern concrete style, but capped with a metal rail. The river crosses the highway at an angle, so the entire bridge is set at an angle to accommodate the river channel. Rather than sharing the two bridges, Cass County owns this bridge, and Itasca County owns the other similar bridge.
This bridge is the fourth of five bridges that cross the great river as it forms the border between Cass County and Itasca County.
