Bluff Dale, Texas, is a small town about 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth on US-377. Over a hundred years ago, the local citizens got together to build a bridge. They hired a regionally famous bridge builder, hacked togther some iron, pipes, and cable, and ended up with this fantastic cable stayed bridge long before such bridges were in vouge. It is located on country road 149 about a quarter mile north of town. A modern bridge was built next to this structure, so vehicles no longer use the metal monster.
